"I normally find these courses a bit slow, but Tom was very engaging and explained things clearly. I very much enjoyed using skills learned on the manequins for practicle learning." (10/10)

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is there (RQF) after the course title of first aid?
If a qualification is regulated (officially recognised), there will be RQF or SCQF at the end of the course title.
Most qualifications have a difficulty level. The higher the level, the more difficult the qualification is.
The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) accredits qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. RQF is jointly regulated by the England's regulator Ofqual, Wales DCELLS and Northern Ireland's CCEA.
Scotland has its own system - the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SQCF).
The EU developed the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) as a translation tool to make national qualifications easier to understand and more comparable.
(europa.eu)
The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) applies to qualifications awarded by Scottish Awarding Organisations. It has more levels than the RQF. SCQF Level 7 is equivalent to RQF Level 4, SCQF Level 10 is equivalent to RQF Level 6 and SCQF Level 11 is equivalent to RQF Level 7.

Level 3 First Aid at Work (RQF) is equivalent to Level 6 First Aid (SCQF). RQF or SCQF qualifications are recognised all over the UK.

Paediatric first aid courses or EFAW/FAW?
EFAW (one-day Emergency First Aid at Work) and FAW (3-day First Aid at Work) deal with first aid for adults.
Paediatric First Aid courses deal with first aid for babies and children.
The Awarding Organisations allow us to combine the one-day courses which are:
a. one-day Emergency First Aid at Work, and
b. one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid
The above two courses can be combined because of overlaps in topics. the duration of the combined course is 7 hours. The extra hour will deal with those topics that are not in the overlap.
After successfully completing the combined course described above, the participant will receive 2 certificates, one for each of the courses below:
- Certificate 1: Emergency First Aid at Work.
- Certificate 2: Emergency Paediatric First Aid.
We can also combine 3-day FAW with 2-day Paediatric First Aid course. The duration each day will also be longer. The extra time will deal with those topics that are not in the overlap.
After successfully completing the combined course described above, the participant will receive 2 certificates, one for each of the courses below:
